Auntie Li
Over the past year, it has become increasingly difficult to do business. This year has been the toughest, with my income continuously declining. I have to work long hours just to barely make ends meet. The cost of my children's education is also increasing, and even with working 15 hours a day, my income keeps decreasing. It is frustrating that the government doesn't allow us to extend our working hours. Through this interview, I hope to make the government hear our voices.
We set up stalls outside every day, barely making 6000 yuan a month to sustain our family's livelihood. If our working hours are further reduced and our income decreases, it is really distressing. I hope you can reflect our situation to the government and let them hear our plea. If we exceed the regulated working hours, the government imposes fines. Though the fines may not be much, they are still difficult for us to bear. These regulations bring significant pressure and distress to us.
I didn’t do anything wrong; I just want to earn some money to support my family through my own labor. However, these rules limit our income, which makes me feel helpless. The authorities should understand our situation and provide us with appropriate leniency, rather than causing us to lose our livelihood due to rigid enforcement.
During the pandemic, business has been even worse, and we can only slowly make a living by setting up stalls here. Although the pandemic has improved, the economy is still declining, making our business even worse than during the pandemic. Our income keeps decreasing, and our livelihood is becoming increasingly difficult.
I suggest that young people should focus on education and strive to change their destinies through their own efforts. Relying solely on labor is not enough nowadays, as government policies and enforcement make it increasingly challenging. By studying and learning, one can find a good job and avoid being troubled by government penalties. I always urge my daughter to study hard, hoping that she can change her destiny through education and avoid repeating our hardships.
