Mr Wen 温先生
I get up at seven o'clock every morning, go for a walk by the river, and do some simple exercises like stretching my arms. Then I go to the library to read newspapers, or to the community center to look at my phone or newspapers. In the afternoon, I go home for lunch, and my life is very tranquil. There are many people of different races exercising in the park, and I just greet them without having specific conversations because I don't know if some of them speak Chinese. However, there is a Pakistani family living upstairs, their children speak Chinese, and sometimes they call me uncle and chat with me.
Most of the people here in Tin Shui Wai are retirees and primary school students, so the atmosphere is very peaceful. But transportation has also become much more convenient. It only takes an hour's drive to work anywhere, unlike when I first moved here, it took two to three hours to work in Kowloon. It's now very close to the mainland, but I don't like going back to the mainland because I don't think the environment there suits me. I'd rather go on vacation to Thailand or the Philippines. I think Tin Shui Wai is a good place for retirees like me because it's very peaceful and suitable for my current lifestyle.
我每朝七點起身，去河邊行下路，做啲簡單嘅運動，伸展下手臂咁。之後我會去圖書館睇下報紙，或者去社區中心睇下手機、報紙。下晝我就返屋企食飯，生活好平淡。公園裡面有好多唔同種族嘅人一齊做運動，我同佢哋只係打個招呼，唔會特別傾偈，因為有啲人我唔知佢哋識唔識講中文。不過我樓上有一個巴基斯坦家庭，佢哋嘅細路識講中文，有時會叫我叔叔，同我傾偈。
天水圍呢度大部分係退休人士同小學生，所以氣氛好平靜。但係交通都方便咗好多，一個鐘頭車程就可以去任何地方返工，唔似我剛搬嚟嗰陣要坐兩三個鐘嘅車，先可以去九龍返工。而家去大陸都好近，但我唔鍾意返大陸，覺得嗰邊嘅環境唔適合我。我更願意放假去泰國、菲律賓玩。我覺得天水圍對我呢種退休人士嚟講，係一個好好嘅地方，因為呢度好平靜，適合我而家嘅生活。
